Use your camera or drop in photos. Papyrus cleans up each image (grayscale + contrast for legibility) and assembles the pages into one PDF — all on your device.
How it stays private
Frequently asked
Does my file get uploaded to a server?
No. Every operation on Papyrus runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file is read from disk into your tab’s memory, processed there, and written back out as a download. Watch the network counter in the header — it stays at zero from the moment you add a file.
Do my camera photos get uploaded?
Never. The camera stream and every frame stay in your browser; edge detection and correction run locally in WebAssembly.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After your first visit the app and its WebAssembly engines are cached by a service worker, so you can process files with no internet connection at all — the ultimate proof nothing is being uploaded.
